For me like i mentined a few times Warlords sucseeds where Firefly wanted it, but the map count, the performance, the limits, the price, its not worth buying now, nor 35 euros, but at 20 and down the line when there are more maps, its worth it, this is a damn good Stronghold game and im happy to welcome it here, i think both Toxicity and Over praise are over blown however but Terrible this is not. So overall, i think its a bit blown out, the game is not a 6, its not as average as Crusader 2, but its not an 8 like Stronghold 1, or 9 like Crusader, id still put it at maybe 7.5 as its solid fun, for now, but its not a worth a buy. Pathing is actually far better than i expected, i see what some people mean but at least my units follow orders and don't have to spam Ninjas to climb a damned wall. Now im not a graphics guy, so this looks fine, its a decade old, but its fine, ive seen compaints about UI but it doesn't seem bad, there is most of information in both bottom corners like resources and rations so i dunno. Unit balance is still not perfect, it seems much better overall but special units out do everything it seems, however there are many more fun and unique units like exploding oxen which honestly makes up for a fact that its not perfect. The AI is also better economically, but it always plays at a 8 player limit so it never trains more than like 60 troops, but they are much better at gathering resources and there does seem to be certain brain in them on how big a castle should be And the mostly over inflated economy is gone, weapon shops are still expensive but things that should be pricey are pricey and cheap things are cheap, though strangely the Fear Factor buildings which are strangely limited are bit on expensive side. It takes every hole and imperfection Crusader 2 had and fixes it, it returns most of Stronghold's classic features, i mean peasants talk again, and jesters and torturers walk around, which makes me question some negative points some reviews leave. This game isn't Terrible, or Bad, in fact going trough every preview from first to last i believe there was nothing cut from the game, and ultimately for that im not at hate for this. If after 1 month performance isn't accepteable and there arent more maps ill re consider my decision but honestly. The Troop limit is garbage, build limit is passable, the map count on launch is worse than Legends's CTF and KOTH map count. The performance sucks, in fact its worse than some comments said its actually dog shit, its the only swear ill use here and im sorry for moderators but it was necessery. Doing this a few times, coupled with my steady supply of rice and resources generating more soldiers of my own, resulted in a quick win a few minutes later.I mean it has Waifu ninjas, why wou- okay seriously, its alot different when you play the full game and ill start of negatively. I had enough diplomacy points to convince him to join me at once, and had to wait for a bit to get a few more points to ask him to send a squad of soldiers and rocket launchers towards the enemy stronghold. There were two nearby warlods I could ally myself with: one focused on providing resources, and another one focused in sending out troops to regularly cripple the enemy warlord’s defense. That was when the diplomacy system kicked in. The developers were smart enough to provide you with a pathetic army at first, ensuring that you won’t want to go full Leroy Jenkins towards the enemy’s barricade. You already start off with some buildings, a few soldiers and a farm that will steadily provide you with resources for you to do whatever you want with it. It’s not a mission in which you have to worry a lot about constructing a lot of buildings and fortifications. Your mission is to find a way to breach the enemy warlord’s defenses, comprised of three walled sections, and then proceed to kill him in order to win the match. On one side of the (pretty small) map, you have your warlord and your army. The three walls I was supposed to tear down.
